There are some countries which support subsidy for oil (fuel) prices. Malaysia is one of those countries. Subsidy let oil price to stay in low prices so many travelers from Thailand and Singapore by car used to fill up their vehicle. This is no more available. As international oil prices were going up, government subsidies were going up together. This made Malaysian government to feel big financial pressure.
So they decided to reduce subsidy for rich people and increase for poor people. (

And coming August, fuel price will be increase 3 more RM. Many bloggers in Malaysia are talking about this issue and they are very up-set. Hike of oil prices makes people crazy and oil company richer.
